Overview

Shopify Theme Downloader is a browser extension that lets you download theme files from the Shopify Admin “Edit Code” page. This policy describes what data the extension uses and how it is handled.

Data We Use

• Storage (local): The extension may store minimal data in your browser’s local storage (e.g. preferences or state such as “last test download” timing) to improve use of the extension. This data stays on your device.
• Active tab: The extension needs access to the active browser tab only when you use it on a Shopify Admin theme/Edit Code page, to read the current URL and trigger the download.
• Downloads: When you choose to download a theme, the extension creates a zip file and uses the browser’s download feature. File contents are generated from pages you already have access to in Shopify Admin; we do not send theme files to any external server.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data.
• We do not send theme files or store contents to our servers.
• We do not track your browsing outside of the Shopify Admin theme pages where the extension runs.

Third-Party Services

• The extension may load assets (e.g. images, fonts) from third-party domains (such as ezfycode.com or Google Fonts) only for in-extension UI (e.g. the “More” tab). Use of those services is subject to their respective privacy policies.
• If you click links in the extension (e.g. to the Chrome Web Store or to ezfycode.com), your browser will open those sites; their privacy policies apply there.
